Thurmaston lies just 4 miles from Leicester City Centre on the A46, and despite a population of less than 10,000, benefits from being one of the most popular and prominent villages north of Leicester.

Located on the River Soar and boasting two marinas and Watermead Park - a purpose-built nature reserve - Thurmaston is popular with boating and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
