Mansfield Show Home Selected for National Hoover Campaign

A Mansfield show home has been selected by Hoover for its latest advertising campaign due to its family friendly layout.

As one of the world’s most famous household names, Hoover was drawn to the four-bedroom property, at Rippon Homes’ Heathside Gardens development on Jubilee Way Mansfield, due to the traditional layout of the downstairs accommodation, which allowed them to demonstrate two of its latest products.

The ‘Freedom’ and the ‘Slalom’ appliances were photographed in Heathside Gardens’ show home, called the Windsor, and the resulting images will be used in a £250k advertising campaign which includes national press ads, printed brochures, leaflets and in store point of sale material.

Peter Regan, Hoover’s Marketing Communication Manager said, “With our marketing agency based in Nottingham, we were looking for a property that would allow us to show these two products off to their best. We also wanted a central staircase that could help demonstrate the extension capacity of the Freedom.

“We approached a great many estate agents and property developers in the area and were surprised at how difficult it was to find a home that had an archetypal family home layout. We wanted a straight central staircase and a proper dining room that is separate to the kitchen.”

Hoover’s requirements were no problem for Mansfield-based Rippon Homes which prides itself on building high quality family homes in traditional styles. Rippon’s Managing Director John Jones commented, “We were thrilled when Hoover asked if they could use one of our show homes for the campaign as their ideas for a family property married perfectly with our own.

“Traditional family homes are what we’ve built for more than 60 years and whilst there was a trend for three-storey properties in recent years, we’re finding that our customer’s tastes are returning to traditional features such as a formal dining room, two storeys and space between them and their neighbours are once again in demand so this remains at the core of our portfolio of properties.
