Johnson Tiles are used in Rippon Homes’ bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, and throughout the home as ceramic floor tiling. Our buyers love having this stylish yet eco-friendly tiling in their homes, and for good reason!

 

Johnson Tiles are a Stoke-on-Trent-based company that are committed to sustainable manufacturing. With over two decades of experience in finding eco-friendly operating techniques, they are the perfect company for the environmentally conscious consumer.

 

By manufacturing each tile to contain up to 20% recycled ceramic material, using 100% recycled and recyclable packaging materials, and reusing around 22,000m³ of water, Johnson Tiles are leading the way in sustainable business practices. Plus, their manufacturing methods save approximately 50 million kWh through in house energy and reduce carbon emissions by 1,700 tonnes per year.

 

Not only are their tiles environmentally friendly, but every year they save approximately 12,000 trees by recycling their pallets, using second-hand pallets, and repairing damaged pallets. In 2020, they also became the first tile company to go plastic-free, switching to entirely sustainable, plant-based packaging.

 

Johnson Tiles have a long history of environmental achievements, starting with being awarded ‘The Queen’s Award for Environmental Achievement’ in 1997 for their ceramic waste recycling scheme. They also won the ‘Manufacturing Industry Achievement Award for Environmentalist of the Year’ and from 2008 to 2011, secured a top position in the ‘Sunday Times Best Green Companies Awards’ for four successive years. In 2011, they were awarded ‘The Environmental Efficiency Award’ by the Engineering Employers’ Federation.
