At Rippon Homes, we understand the housebuilding industry can often be stressful and this Stress Awareness Month (April), we have asked our team for the top ways they destress after work.

The theme of this year’s Stress Awareness Month is #LittleByLittle, which aims to highlight the transformative impact that small, consistent and positive actions can have on our wellbeing, and how the smallest steps can become significant in the battle against stress.

Many of the team use exercise to remain calm after a stressful day, such as Gary Wright, Design and Technical Manager who goes hiking or bouldering to unwind. Louise Dickerson, Senior Sales Progressor will go to the gym or walk her dogs to destress after a long day.

Another way members of the team at Rippon Homes relax is spending time with loved ones. Customer Care Manager, Chloe Goodwin says: “I like to chill out and spend time with the family after a long day.” The sentiment is shared by Rebecca Wood, who enjoys taking her nephew to the park.

Another common theme of staying calm is to take up a hobby that you enjoy, which could be a sport such as golf, as Andy Linley, Buyer, explained: “After a long day, I will go and play golf as it helps me unwind.” Other employees at Rippon Homes such as Simmi Johal, Design Assistant and Andy Kelly, Surveyor like to dance and box in their spare time.
