Rippon Homes Recruits New Assistant Site Manager at Derbyshire Development
Midlands housebuilder Rippon Homes has appointed an Assistant Site Manager to help deliver new homes at a Derbyshire site.
Liam Platts, 34 has joined the team at Cavendish Gardens, a development of three and four-bedroom family homes, off Doehill Lane, in the popular village of Tibshelf.
A married father of two young children, Liam travels to work from his home in Barnsley. Since embarking on a plastering apprenticeship at the age of 16, Liam has gained sound experience in the construction industry, including previously working as a crane operator and running his own private building business.
“I am very happy to have joined the Rippon Homes team. The company has an excellent reputation, not only as a good quality builder, but also for treating its employees well,” explained Liam.
“Having joined Rippon Homes as an Assistant Site Manager I am looking forward to making fast progress to becoming a Site Manager and have my sights set on staying with the company in the long term future.”
Established in 1953, Rippon Homes is renowned for craftsmanship, care and comfort, building high quality housing that really feels like home.
Work is well underway at Cavendish Gardens, which comprises 57 three-bedroom semi-detached and three and four-bedroom detached homes. The site showhome is set for launch in November, when the first few houses are also scheduled for completion.
Good transport links make Tibshelf an ideal choice for commuters, close to the M1 and within easy reach of Derby, Sheffield and Nottingham, all with mainline rail stations. Local bus routes connect Tibshelf to neighbouring villages and the town of Alfreton, around four miles away.
The village has every amenity, including shops, pubs and a doctor’s surgery. An outstanding primary school and newly built community school make it a popular location for families with young children.
Nearby is the Five Pits Trail for walkers, cyclists and horse riders alike, as well as angling ponds, a cricket pitch and golf course. Hardwick Hall and Chatsworth House are both a short drive, as is the stunning Peak District National Park.
Ian Dyke, Managing Director at Rippon Homes said: “We are delighted to welcome Liam on board to Rippon Homes, adding valuable expertise to our experienced construction team.
“Liam’s arrival will help to ensure Cavendish Gardens is a top choice for new home buyers. This is an exciting time of growth for Rippon Homes, as we continue to deliver much needed housing to the region. We wish him well in his long-term future with us.”
Prospective home buyers can make use of the Government Help to Buy and Sales Assist schemes. Help to Buy scheme allows homebuyers to buy a new home under the value of £600,000 with just a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, with the final 20% made up by an equity loan provided by the Government.
Rippon Homes’ Sales Assist scheme enables housebuilder to pay estate agent fees, saving buyers time, money and stress.
