Walk Your Dog Month

Posted on 12th January 2024 in News & Views

January marks National Walk Your Dog Month, and we at Rippon Homes have complied a list of the best dog walks across our developments, that residents and prospective buyers can enjoy with their furry friends all whilst hitting their New Year fitness goals at the same time.

The Burrows at The Edge

Our The Burrows development at The Edge is located next door to Clumber Park, a 3,800-acre National Trust site which is the perfect place to get lost with your best friend, with a variety of routes to explore.

The park is a rated three paws out of three by the National Trust, meaning it is one of the best National Trust parks you can visit with your dog, with most of the areas being accessible to dogs and dog walkers. The park also hosts a weekly and monthly dog walking club, and an annual dog show every September.

Marquis Gardens

Another one of our developments that has a range of green open space to explore with your pets is Marquis Gardens. This development is located near to Rutland Water, which has brilliant dog walks among being a hotspot for fishing and water sports.

Rutland Water has over 4,200 acres of stunning countryside to take in, with a variety of routes differing in length from 24 miles to a more manageable two-mile route that will take you across the lake, meaning there is something for everyone.

Fox Hollow

Our Fox Hollow development is one of our developments that is steeped in the countryside and has multiple walks that residents can follow with their pets, ranging from traditional footpaths to off route trail walks.

Willingham Wood, Ostlers Plantation and Tuetoes, Laughton Forest are all nearby to the development and offer a variety of walks, with the chance to see rare plants and wildlife such as deer. These walks are perfect for residents to get to know the local area around their new home.

Across all our developments, at Rippon Homes we pride ourselves on providing residents with the perfect mix of countryside and having all the amenities of modern life on their doorstep, and we hope highlighting these walks around our developments will encourage prospective buyers to visit us with their four legged friends!

This January, we at Rippon Homes are encouraging prospective buyers and residents alike to explore our developments with their four-legged companions and enjoy the green open space around our handpicked sites.
